Mary Mary is an American gospel music duo, consisting of sisters Erica Monique Atkins (born April 29, 1972(1972-04-29)) and Trecina "Tina" Evette Atkins (born May 1, 1975(1975-05-01)) . The duo are often credited along with Kirk Franklin for broadening the fan base of urban contemporary gospel in the 2000s by introducing elements of soul music, hip hop and funk. With the duo's studio album, The Sound (2008), pop rock elements have also been added to their style.

In the UK, The Sound's release has been delayed to September, then it has since been delayed again till October. It was later announced the tentative release date in the UK is October 20, 2008.
