【劇情簡介】：
一直以高中狀元為目標的窮書生寧采臣（蕭正楠飾）屢考屢敗，只好暫留二嫂迎春花（滕麗名飾）的燈籠店與大哥寧采民（麥長青飾）當畫師謀生，大哥是錙銖必較的算死草，二哥寧采君（梁烈唯飾）是目不識丁的老婆奴，青梅竹馬情人迎春嬌（吳若希飾）常催迫采臣婚期，加上父親寧丙寅（于洋飾）患病，情急之下，正直老實的采臣無奈接受春花促銷燈籠的騙術合謀欺詐街坊，惹來天師燕赤霞（湯盈盈飾）和神棍都敏俊（范振鋒飾）大鬥法，寧家自此家無寧日，光怪陸離奇事天天上演，各人性格和行為反常，采臣始發現有位「幽靈大媽」聶小倩（薛家燕飾）為了報恩，一直在暗中守護他，只可惜小倩法力不逮，往往將事情弄巧反拙，烏龍笑料百出……
