父親是一名廚師，他脾氣暴躁、終日沉迷賭博。同居多年的母親早已對好賭的父親死心。一次，母親逮到了好機會，終於遠走高飛。
o@]So(9f pMg3fUIM 父親與小孩四處打聽母親的下落，登報尋人，卻音訊全無。父親非常沮喪，常對小孩呼呼喝喝，小孩越來越害怕父親。父親不斷招惹麻煩，欠高利貨，且被餐館開除。生活無以為繼，父子倆被迫逃到廉價旅店去。
