簡介：
縱已踏入民初時代，地處一隅的平安谷仍由男權主導，女人地位卑微。村長陸金谷思想守舊，與海外歸來的兒子陸水豐，及自小受西方教育的媳婦羅桂思產生不少矛盾。金谷一妻三妾，宋鳴鳳、顧曼儀、田初一等三妾背後各有辛酸遭遇。陸家表面風平浪靜，其實金谷有病、加上鳴鳳之女被擄等神秘事件接連發生……桂思對村中男女不平等感到失望，決要幫助受欺壓的婦女。此時，有一股勢力暗中策劃各項反男權行動，令村中的男女角力一發不可收拾！
