I think he mis-guide all the member over here . I do not think he understand too much computer technique.
Nowaday,the fastest speed that still need a telephone line is 10mb per second.
10mb means 10 mega bits, one byte equal to 4 bits. His router splites the input into 3. Each output speed from the router is 10mb/3 = 3.3mb per seond
If he used the cheaper internet provider,he might have a 1.5mb or 3mb line.
Output from the 1:3 router is 0.5mb or 1mb.
How can his BT download speed can reach 1.2mb per second ??
I use 10mb single line with single connection into a single fast computer,my BT has been opened the 6881 port (bypass the firewall). I never can reach more than 350kb per second download speed.
Therefore,do not being fool by what he say !
